The Waffle Taco

Decided to check out this spot for a late breakfast and I’m so glad we did. When we walked in the restaurant we were greeted with a warm hello and smile. Our server was super nice and very attentive. The food was cooked to order. Everything was fresh, hot and soooo good. The waffle was cooked perfect😊. And the portion size…let’s say we had 3 to go boxes. If you are ever in Nashville I highly recommend you check out this place.

Horrible experience! Ordered online, went to pick it up when it was supposed to be ready and I was told my food was not ready. I waited 20 min for my order and ended up that my food was ready waiting in a counter but the person that talked to me was inattentive and inefficient. When I got home, I found out that one of the items on my order was wrong and they gave me something that I didn’t order. On another of the item, the Avocado was black beyond oxidation, and more like spoiled or rotten as you can see in the photo. Who on his right mind would serve this piece of rotten avocado 🤦🏻‍♀️ Poor customer service, food was rotten and the order was wrong.

I’m not sure if there’s a better way to enjoy a waffle then with the awesome breakfast toppings from a Morning Waffle Taco! A warm fluffy waffle covered with scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, cheese, hash-browns, onions, tomatoes and avocado! Delicious way to start any day! The Hot Chicken and Waffles is equally scrumptious…waffle is warm and crispy, as is the tasty and juicy chicken! Lots of diners serve adequate coffee, but the coffee at Waffle Taco is delicious and is served in a cup the size of a soup bowl! Perfect for this coffee addict! The atmosphere is charming and the servers equally so. Prices are quite reasonable as well.

Such a cute place!! This is an absolutely adorable little eatery right off the highway that should make you stop. I ordered the Hot chicken and Waffles minus the hot. Such generous portions! So prettily plated, came out within 10 minutes as the place was slow for early a.m breakfast. Chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. Waffle is so fluffy and soft and sweet. Love love love. Thank you to the kind staff that greeted me this morning for all your hard work!!

Man this place was the bomb! My son had the breakfast bowl and it was delicious! I had the waffle taco and it was so good. The sauces are made in house and are to die for. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. This was one of the cleanest restaurants I have been to in a while. We were really impressed with this restaurant!

Went with my childhood best friend this morning and MAN. This place is so cute and so delicious! We had to sit at the bar because it was BUSY. They seem to not only do a ton of dine in but also a ton of takeaway. Their bags are made from sugar cane instead of trees, too. We both got the chilaquiles with sunny side up eggs and grilled chicken. Those things were SO GOOD but we honestly will share next time. It was way too much food. I didn't finish it, and I still didn't eat lunch! Honestly, I'm still not hungry 🤣🤷 and it's almost dinner time. My friend ordered the mimosa and said no to that one, though, so don't expect this to be your next boozy brunch spot. You SHOULD expect your taste buds to be delighted, though! Come try them!

Like other low reviews the food is sub par at best. We went on a busy Saturday and was seated outside. Ordered the hot chicken and waffle but they may as well get rid of the name. The meal is, at best cooked. Not much flavor or seasoning I also ordered an orange juice mimosa which also was sub par and may was not really that cold. I'm convinced the reviews with high ratings may not cook as often, as you can (and should) make this yourself at home. I'd recommend that if they want to make hot chicken at least make a hot sauce or get one from the store (Louisiana hot sauce is hotter than this) and is pretty much cayenne pepper with red colored sauce. A little disappointed for the price you can go somewhere better. If you are low on cash or have kids I understand too. But stick to fast food unless you just want a waffle made from a waffle maker 🧇. Looks good but that's about it. Image is from my girlfriend's morning breakfast waffle looks good but not really seasoned or added flavor. I recommend something like First Watch or even waffle house if you want breakfast. I will say that the peach ice tea was nice and refreshing.
